On December 20^th  I made the trip down to Los Cusingos Sanctuary and then to San Gerardo de Rivas.  The trip to these two spots produced six life birds among the many species seen.  I was joined on this trip by guide Andres who provided some expert guidance during the trip.

As a side the note the last few morning I have made a stop at the Honeypot in Hadley and have found Short eared Owls hunting the fields there before sunrise.  On Wednesday morning I had at least three and possibly a fourth and on Thursday morning I had two with some interaction between them with one bird vocalizing a few times.  I have never had multiple Short eared Owls in western Massachusetts before so very interesting to see them.  I tried to get some photos but the light was so low getting any decent shots has proven illusive so far.
