I made a brief stop at Hadley Cove this morning and had
quite a selection of waterfowl with 23 Wood Ducks, five Green winged Teal, nine
Ring necked Ducks, three Common Mergansers, 14 Black Ducks, 810+ Canada Geese
and 47 Mallards plus a few hybrid Mallard x Black Ducks. I wish I had more time to look through the
flocks as they were tightly packed in and some were hidden by trees so there may indeed have been even more birds. Although today was the first day of spring the weather continued to feel a lot more like winter.
