Recently back from a trip to Costa Rica (lots more on that in an upcoming post) and I headed out the last couple days to catch up with the vanguard of migrants starting to push in.  Although I didn't find anything new yesterday I had better luck today with four new species for the year for me in the county with Lesser Scaup, Pied billed Grebe, Virginia Rail and Tree Swallow.  The last two days have had well above normal temps with highs in the mid 60's (not quite recording breaking but very nice for the date).  Around the house I got the water feature up and running for the year and checked the three duck boxes and found eggs in two of the three so far.
