Winter has arrived with a vengeance with bitter cold temperatures and about 6-8 inches of snow and sleet on Sunday.  The weather yesterday was truly arctic like with a high temperature of 3 degrees and a strong north wind bringing the wind chill down to -30 and providing a record low high temperature for the day.  Below zero low temperatures both yesterday and today finally warmed into the 20's today.  Lots of iced over areas have started to concentrate the remaining waterfowl.  We will enjoy an average day tomorrow before the next storm brings us heavy rain late Wednesday into Thursday with highs in the 40's.  I made a few stops on my way home this morning with the highlights being a Red necked Grebe, Horned Grebe and Red breasted Merganser at the partially iced over water at Winsor Dam.  Once I got home I picked up Wilson and we went for a walk along the Swift River where we had some waterfowl but nothing too unusual.

I checked the cameras around the house and found more shots of the Bobcat as well as a new species at the feeders with multiple captures of a Brown Creeper.  The banded chickadees also continue to visit the feeders.
