Once again the forecast didn't quite match up with what occurred today with the rain starting early than expected and lasting throughout the day.  It was already raining lightly before dawn so I made a stop by Winsor Dam looking for waterfowl again but could only manage to find half a dozen Common Loons.  As I had to work part of today my time was limited so after my brief stop by the dam I decided to head to the Honey Pot (concentrating around 'That's a Plenty' Farm).  Despite the occasional rain drops and low light I managed to find some great birds at the farm including a Marsh Wren and 115+ sparrows of six species among the 31 species in about an hour of looking.  Link to the list here:

It has been a very good fall for Marsh Wrens in the valley.  The one today became my fourth since I found my first one on August 31st, also at the Honey Pot.  My other two were found at Arcadia with one on September 13 and the other on September 22.

On my way home in the late afternoon I stopped by Winsor Dam again as the rain continued to come down.  The only species of waterfowl I managed to find was a single male Mallard flying south.
